In addition to investment in agro-industrial businesses in Thailand, the Plantheon Group realizes the significance of agricultural growth and geographical advantages of our neighboring countries. Business expansion and investment in neighboring countries, especially in the Indochina was first planned in 2006. The TCC Group first joined with the MRT Group, a large investor in Cambodia to invest in the oil palm industry and private ports under the joint ventures – Mong Reththy Investment Cambodia Oil Palm Co., Ltd. (MRICOP) and Oknha Mong Port Co., Ltd. (OMP) respectively on a total area of more than 150,000 rai of land.

Mong Reththy Investment Cambodia Oil Palm Co., Ltd. (MRICOP)

Mong Reththy Investment Cambodia Oil Palm Co., Ltd. (MRICOP) is involved with oil palm plantation and palm oil processing for domestic consumption and export to such countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. MRICOP started the oil palm plantation in 1997, covering an area of about 6,800 hectares out of 11,000 hectares under concession in Prey Nop, Sihanouk. In 2009, MRICOP will expand its plantation area by about 1,000 hectares.
The MRICOP’s raw palm oil factory is the first factory in Cambodia to produce raw palm oils for domestic consumption and export markets. The current production capacity is 10 tons/hour. The factory is increasing its production capacity to 20 tons/hour by 2008 and plans to increase to 35 tons/hour in the future to process additional produce from the expansion of the plantation areas.

Oknha Mong Port Co., Ltd. (OMP)
The OMP Port is the first private port in Cambodia, located in Choy Svay, Sre Ambri, Koh Kong. Construction started on January 1, 2003 and inauguration on August 1, 2004. The OMP Port will serve as a gateway to Cambodia’s economic, commercial, industrial and tourism development in the future.

The first OMP Port is 309 meters long, 22 meters wide and 5 meters deep and 1,700 piers. OMP is planning to build another port, 200 meters long, 22 meters wide and 7 meters deep. It’s expected the new port would be opened in 24 months and would be able to accommodate large foreign sea-goers with load capacity of more than 5,000 tons.
 
 

Navigation Tasks : The task of navigators and pilots are the main course in navigating national and international vessels in and out of OMP.

Godowns and container yards
Two godowns : The first one is 80 m ' 44 m = 3,520 sq.m. and can store 10,000 tons of goods. The second one is 80 m ' 24 m = 1,920 sq.m. and can store 8,000 tons of goods.

           
In addition, there are 2 container yards with space of 35,000 sq.m. and 30,000 sq.m. respectively.
